Accessibility research
Original data from Site Brace Research, the editorial desk behind our published numbers. Every figure comes from a real WCAG 2.1 Level AA scan run with the same axe-core engine as a paid audit, every claim names its source, and every sample size is shown. We report conformance, not legal compliance.
Reports
- The State of Web Accessibility 2026. Our scan of 299 home pages across eight US industries for WCAG 2.1 AA issues, broken out by industry and by platform. 63.5% had at least one automated violation.
- WordPress Accessibility: what 43 real WordPress home pages get wrong. A deep dive on the platform that runs more of the web than any other. 70% failed, and the most common problem was links with no accessible name, not low contrast.
Method
- How Site Brace Research compiles accessibility data. The sampling, the standard (WCAG 2.1 AA measured with axe-core), and the conformance-not-compliance line we hold every figure to.
